Spiny Warm Water Lobster lovers rejoice! Here is a wonderful surprise. This place is a rockstar, a little unassuming seafood place at a shopping mall that won my heart. As a Cuban living in the north, tired of the tiny Maine lobster tails, this place captured me as they offer what I used to have in Cuba as a kid when possible. The food was delicious and the wait staff is like talking to old friends. Definitely recommended and will come back anytime. I’m in the area.

Phenomenal food and fantastic service. The chefs are on fire and though there was a little mixup with my order. It was quickly fixed. As it became evening, lights in the restaurant’s bar area were turned up much brighter than I would prefer, so when I come back, I would sit at a table. Brandy is on point! I recommend the coconut shrimp and lobster roll, ask for melted butter on the side.

Stopped by here last night and had a fantastic meal. You can tell the fish is high quality and extremely fresh. The place was packed to the gills (pun intended) for good reason! They have a wide selection and include a lot of fresh catch of the day options. Since I have never tried cracked conch, I went with that and the grouper sandwich. Both were excellent, the breading was light but flavorful and you can tell the fish is right off the boat. And they had an excellent key lime pie. You can tell this is a popular spot with locals, so I will definitely be back!

I was really looking forward to trying The Fish Shack in Lighthouse Point, but unfortunately it was disappointing. It lacked seasoning and flavor, and for the prices they charge, I expected much better. There was also an odd message written on the restroom wall that didn’t feel appropriate. The only bright spot was our waitress — she was friendly, and did her best to provide great service. I truly appreciate her effort, but overall the food just didn’t live up to expectations.

The food and drinks are spot on at the Fish Shack. I got the fried oysters for starters and they were perfectly breaded and crispy. Then I got the blackened Mahi Mahi which was one of the fish of the day and it was very tasty. The service was attentive. But they also have the best key lime pie. Highly recommend. Heck, I'd go there just for the pie! Update 1: after lunch, we were craving the key lime pie yesterday, so we stopped at the dish shack. Again, it did not disappoint. The crust on this version of the pie is just perfect. It's call that another successful pie day! And I loved the amount of whipped cream the gave us. Super generous! This pie just makes a perfect way to end a great lunch!
